About Me
First and foremost, I am a guitar player. I am based in Milton Keynes, and have been playing for 25 years and loved every minute of it, even the frustrating times ๐ย I love lots of styles of music and anything guitar related!
What started me down this road was I have always loved setting up my own guitars, I found many people would not listen to how I wanted the guitar to be setup and would normally get my pride and joy back at factory-ish settings and not what Iโd asked for. This became very frustrating!
So over many years I took the time to learn, practice & study, learn how to get the best playability, and refine my methods. I learned off a fantastic local luthier in Milton Keynes, who kindly parted with some of his fantastic knowledge and experience to me.
I believe as a guitar player, I know and understand a playerโs needs.
As an experienced player, I believe I can help as a guitar tech to help you get the best from your instrument. This can really help all players, from the musicians who know exactly how they want it, to players who may not even realise how a guitar/bass can be setup to sound better and play easier. I can help understand and get the right setup for you. This can be the difference to what makes a great playing guitar, compared to one that is unnecessarily difficult to play. So many guitars come off the shelf with dreadful playability, and in my opinion put people off, as it just feels too horrible to play. Over many years I have learned how to get the best from an instrument in playability, and I accept nothing less than perfection! Because Iโm player and love the instrument, want to help as many people as possible get the best from theirs.

Had a couple of guitars in for Lion the witch and the wardrobe play that had some buzzing issues this week.
This needed a quick turn around as they are leaving Saturday to head to their next theatre in Blackpool.
I was able to help and get them playing there best again, both needed fret levels as mainly the high strings with such high tension, had dented the frets and were now buzzing.
Both were great guitars, Full size sigma and a Taylor GS mini.
Now back and ready for another 6 months of shows!

Awesome Fender squire Jag in last week for a setup, and trem replacement for a fender item.
Strung up with 11-49 flat wounds, this was an epic guitar. The strings really made it in my opinion, great tension and great sound which suited and complimented the type of guitar with its many switching option`s.

Had a lovely looking Fender Strat in for a setup, this one came out really well. Was already a well playing beast, a few small adjustments on neck relief, action and intonation made it a real great guitar to play!

This is great beginners guitar, still one of the best value ones to buy.
This was in for a setup as the action was high, fret ends were a little sharp and had some high frets.
So this had a full fret level and setup and smooth down those fret ends.
This is a prime example of why it`s best to get beginner guitars looked at by a professional, it`s now been made so much nicer to play and is an all round solid guitar.
It makes such a big difference how new guitar players take to the instrument.
This is a left handed one, I gave up testing it left handed after 10 seconds and just played inverted chords and scales the wrong right handed instead ๐

Really nice Fender Jazz bass in for fret level and setup. This one had a slight ski jump at the heel end, which can be quite common, now all frets are levelled and polished and has great clarity up and down the neck. These basses sound so good for so many genres, this one was tuned to drop Db with a 120 on the low string. Plays so well now and sounds superb ๐ค๐ผ

Great way to end the week with this really stunning looking epiphone les Paul. The colour on this is so nice. This hadn`t been used for a while so it had a full setup and I gave it a real good clean. These always setup really nice, the action was super high on this, now sat at about 1.5mm on the low E and 1.25mm on the high E after being setup ๐ค๐ผ
